Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of theatrical performance. She started singing and studying songs with her mother she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she performed for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about performing, music, and the arts keep her engaged in local projects in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is a fan of traditional Latin American songs and hopes to encourage others to do the same.
