Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on 21 September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for playing Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills and Kim Mills in ABC's Lost television show. Originating from Worthington Ohio she left high school in order to relocate to Los Angeles with her mother after her parents divorce. While struggling financially she landed her first role as Rachel's Room's main character the web-based video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder set in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford was the main actor in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004, she was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award with all of the ensemble. Grace was a co-star alongside Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, wanted to move to film. Grace has been as Kim Mills in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well in 2007 and in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. She played the same role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace reprised her role as Shannon in Lost in the series, which included the conclusion. In 2013, she was in the sixth season of Californication. She is Faith as a girl who is a muse for celebrities and attracts the attention from Hank Moody (David Duchovny). She is a member of the Gyllenhaal Family she is the daughter and elder sister to the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She started her acting career when she was a teenager, playing small appearances in her father's films and appeared alongside her brother in the cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Later, she was in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). The leading roles of Gyllenhaal in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, as well as Sherrybaby (a film) earned her nominations for Golden Globe Awards. The Dark Knight, which came out in 2008 following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006) and World Trade Center (2006), earned Gyllenhaal more fame. After her successful performance as an unmarried mother in Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years she was a part of comedies and dramatic films: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. The actress also appeared as the role of a Secret Service Agent in White House Down the action thriller that was released in 2013. She also played she was a musician as Frank (2014), a musician Frank (2014), and The lead on The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama released in the year 2018. Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a director and writer in 2021, with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
